What is the Distinction between Pneumatic Tire and Cushion Tire?

Amongst the most popular questions about this type of equipment is knowing the difference between cushion tire forklifts and pneumatic tire forklifts. Each and every kind of tire is particularly ideal for various requirements.

Pneumatic Tires have air in them, like vehicle tires. These tires are suitable for indoor application but they are most useful in outdoor "yard" applications and on uneven and gravel surfaces.

Cushion tires are designed as a solid industrial tire that is used mainly for indoor applications. These tires could be utilized outdoors on just asphalt surfaces. If you do drive cushion tires outside, there is an option to get traction tires on the front of the machine. These are called the drive tires. The back tires or the steer tires are specifically designed for steering. Traction tires situated on the forklift's back would simply wear out faster. Therefore, if you do have to work outdoors, having the smooth tires on the back and traction on the front will be the safest and most economical way to operate.

What is the distinction between Air Pneumatic and Solid Pneumatic tires?

When trying to determine the main difference between the two kinds of tires, it can be a bit difficult. They both work in the same outdoor conditions such as gravel, and asphalt. The main distinction between the two kinds of tires is solid pneumatics are made of solid rubber. This means they are strong and you cannot pop, gouge and puncture them. These tires are more costly than air pneumatic tires as they are made up of way more rubber. These tires are best suited for locations such as scrap yards and lumber yards where there can be a lot of debris or sharp things on the ground.

Air pneumatic tires can be punctured accidentally. When this happens, you can get flat tires from them. Prior to operating a forklift with air pneumatic tires, inspect your work area and be sure that the yard is free of debris, sharp metals and nails. In most applications, regular air pneumatic tires work really great.
